Strengthening the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) to manage European Funds, to transpose and implement the Community acquis

The project intended to provide knowledge and professional skills for the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs involved in the development and adoption of Community legislation.

Project Objective: To strengthen the institutional capacity of MIA to actively participate in the decision-making process of adopting European policies and legislation and to increase the accountability of MIA employees involved in the European Funds management and in the transposition and implementation of the Community acquis.

Beneficiary: Directorate for European Affairs and International Relations (DEAIR)

Implementation Period: August – September 2014

Outcomes:

• 5 training sessions for the Ministry of Internal Affairs staff
• 2 study visits to Brussels for exchange of good practices
